Duskveil has received an update focused on smoother combat, monster visibility and ease of play. We combined fixes based on your reports with improvements to WIKI, menus and the shop.
Before logging in, close the game, launch the patcher and wait for the update to finish.
Optimisation and combat
- Added preloading of monster models for the current location to reduce delays when they first appear or are gathered with a cape.
- Fixed a monster visibility synchronisation bug that allowed an enemy to deal damage while remaining invisible until the character moved.
- Fixed monster movement speed calculations and aligned character movement between client and server. This addresses the identified cause of position differences and hits missing the visible target.
Optimisation continues: occasional slowdowns in large groups still need attention. If the issue recurs after updating, report the location and circumstances so we can reproduce it more accurately.
Dungeons and effects
- Restored the ice surface in the central areas of Nemere's third and fourth floors where black gaps appeared.
- Preserved earlier fixes for floor rendering in the Spider Dungeon and model previews.
- Fixed black square particles in one sword effect when rotating the camera.
WIKI, shop and interface
- Updated 29 WIKI articles with game icons, readable text and clearer layouts.
- Item sources, recipes and upgrades appear in clear cards. Improved searches for items at a specific upgrade level.
- Fixed the quantity selector and close buttons in the shop window.
- Updated the F5 quick actions menu.
- Restored the familiar upgrade window layout while preserving the confirmation fixes.
Expedition II
Corrected two premium hairstyles' bonuses against Metin stones, against bosses and to item drops: 40% each instead of 25%. Free hairstyles are unchanged.
Thank you for your reports and help with testing. The major October update and its features are described on a dedicated page.
Standard upgrades and Participation Points
Update addition: Expedition equipment now uses the standard upgrade window. A separate upgrade method is no longer needed; the regular window shows the required materials and cost.
- Expedition weapons, armour, jewellery and belts use standard upgrades. Material requirements, Yang costs and success rates are unchanged.
- Participation Points are now issued as Participation Point items and spent from your inventory. Your accumulated balance is preserved and converted one for one; items arrive through the reward queue when you log in.
- New rewards for battles and Atlas chapters are also issued as items. If your inventory is full, the reward stays in the queue and is not lost.
- Existing Universal Supplies can still be used for upgrades. Material descriptions and recipes in the game encyclopedia have been updated.
Update your client through the patcher before logging in.
