After the major October update, we reviewed your reports and released several fixes. This is the complete list of changes installed on 1 and 2 October, covering upgrades, chat settings, dungeons, graphics and Expedition progress.
All changes listed here are already available in game. To receive them, close the game, update the client through the patcher and restart it.
Upgrades, conversion and equipment
- Fixed client crashes when confirming upgrades and conversion of new equipment. This covers conversion from old equipment to new items, including the Poison Sword, belt and Titan Shield.
- The new Shaman helmet is crafted from a level 60 helmet at +9. The incorrect conversion from a level 41 helmet has been removed.
- The new shield provides 10% strength against monsters.
- The Emerald Necklace +9 provides a 20% chance of a piercing hit.
- Fixed percentage bonuses to maximum HP, including those on necklaces. The previous global cap has been removed; the increase now accounts for the character's HP and equipment bonuses.
Expedition, orders and seasonal rewards
- Fixed Expedition II and Four Frontiers Atlas progress updates after qualifying actions.
- Expedition II progress now displays correctly after teleporting or leaving a dungeon. The window no longer shows a misleading zero while data is loading.
- Orders refresh as soon as the window opens. Switching accounts no longer leaves the previous character's progress on screen.
- Fixed the reward claim button: clicks are no longer lost when progress data refreshes at the same time.
- For seven days after a season ends, you can earn missing points through daily objectives. Limits remain: up to 45 points per day and 945 per season.
- New season points are tracked separately. Accumulated progress and claimed rewards are preserved; rewards cannot be claimed twice.
Dungeons and login
- Fixed dungeon entry that placed characters in an empty location. Dungeons use their own entry coordinates again.
- Fixed one crash during model loading. Added login recovery after a failed map load or a character entering an inaccessible location.
- Fixed monsters disappearing while your character stands still. You no longer need to take a step to make the models appear again.
- Restored Pung-Ho's model and the missing lantern effect in the Catacomb.
Graphics, shadows and client compatibility
- Fixed terrain disappearing in Nephrite Bay when moving or rotating the camera.
- Restored the familiar floor and wall colours in the Demon Tower while retaining higher quality textures.
- Fixed shadow rendering and object boundary issues in dungeons. Checks were carried out in the Demon Tower, Spider Dungeon 3 and Nemere.
- Added a setting to disable shadows entirely. Your selection is saved.
- Improved compatibility with older graphics cards supporting DirectX 10. Improved dedicated GPU selection on laptops.
- Reduced the size of the game client executable.
Skills and the top panel
- Fixed M1 skill display after choosing a specialisation at level 5.
- Fixed the incorrect display of character level zero.
- Removed blur from skill and effect icons at the top left. Icons are compact, neatly aligned and no longer shift their neighbours when hovered.
- The Swiftness message now explains why a weaker buff does not replace a stronger active one. The skill's bonuses are unchanged.
Official chat settings
Added settings that make conversations and game messages easier to follow:
- Separate chat tabs and windows.
- Filters for message types and languages.
- Configurable experience, item and currency notifications.
- Message history retained throughout the game session.
WIKI, quests and the game world
- Added level 95–105 Metin stones to WIKI.
- Boss and Metin models no longer extend beyond the list while scrolling through WIKI.
- Moved the Trade Keeper in the yellow kingdom to an accessible position at the General Store's height.
- If Biologist quests are not yet available, the button now explains the level 30 requirement.
- Removed the outdated Confucius quest.
- Regular monsters in Doyyumhwan no longer knock back characters with their special attack. Their damage is unchanged.
