Titles

Two kinds of titles

An item title stays in your inventory and is equipped in its own title slot. Its bonuses apply while it is equipped. An overhead title is unlocked with a certificate or a reward and selected in the character window. These are separate systems: you can equip one item title and display one overhead title at the same time. Two item titles cannot apply at once. You can also select only one overhead title. Most overhead titles are decorative; Legacy of Bosses and Legacy of Metin Stones grant a separate damage bonus.

How to equip an item title

1. Obtain the item and press I to open your inventory. Hover over it to check its bonuses and restrictions.

2. Right-click the title in your inventory. It moves into the title slot and its bonuses apply. This is equipment: equipping the item does not consume it.

3. To change titles, right-click another item title. The new one is equipped and the previous one returns to that item's inventory slot. The second title does not add bonuses on top of the first.

4. To remove a title, make room in your inventory and right-click the equipped item. Its bonuses end and the item returns to your inventory. No certificate is needed.

Item titles: hunting and expeditions

- Legendary Hunter (57006): strength against bosses +10%. Reward for the 14th calendar day of the Hunting Calendar. To qualify for the day's reward, you must be level 30 or higher and land at least 5 hits on one dragon during Dragon Hunt; stay on the same map when it dies. Claim the reward in the calendar window.

- Expedition Conqueror (57012): strength against monsters +5% and Metin Stones +3%. Awarded for this character's first successful completion of the Trial, Veteran or Citadel. The earliest route: at level 90, complete the four story chapters through the N quest list, then clear the solo Expedition Trial.

- Expedition Cartographer (57013): damage against monsters and Metin Stones +8% on the four expedition maps. Complete all 26 Atlas targets across Cape Dragon Fire, Black Sand Bay, Thunder Mountains and Gautama Cliff. This special bonus does not apply outside these maps.

- Veteran Conqueror (57014): strength against monsters, Metin Stones and bosses +20% each. Craft it at the Blacksmith with 20 Conqueror Cores (99042), 600 Conqueror's Shards (99040), 150 Conqueror Trophies (99041) and 3 000 000 000 Yang. Crafting succeeds 100% of the time. Shards and Trophies come from heroic and legendary dungeons in Path of the Conqueror; Cores come from the Hall of Seven Seals.

Item titles: Event Overview

Open F5 -> Event Overview. On the Season and Archive pages, meet the requirements and use the claim button to collect available rewards. Reaching the required counter alone is not enough: you must claim the reward. If a reward goes to Delivery, make room in your inventory and collect it there.

- Seal Finder (99542): 90 season points; strength against Metin Stones +5%.

- Living Seal (99543): 810 season points; strength against monsters +5%.

- Void Pathfinder (99544): 945 season points; strength against bosses +5%.

- Moonlight Collector (99545): the Moonlight Chest Archive page, 300 deposited Moonlight Chests; item drop chance +5%.

- Old League Champion (99546): the football Archive page, 300 points; maximum HP +1000. A regular ball gives 1 point and a golden ball gives 20: use 300 regular balls, 15 golden balls or a combination.

- Keeper of the Word (99547): the letters Archive page, 30 points; strength against monsters +5%. One complete letter set or one letter chest gives 1 point.

- Guardian of Forgotten Holidays (99553): complete all three Archive pages to tier IV: 500 Moonlight Chests, 300 football points and 60 letter points. Strength against bosses +5%.

- Veteran of Events (99555): reward for 6 perfect weeks, which do not have to be consecutive. In each week, qualify in all three event types: Metin Rain, Boss Invasion and World Boss. Qualified participation is enough for the weekly World Boss mark; victory is not required. The reward is limited by account and device. This is a commemorative item title without combat bonuses.

How to unlock and select an overhead title

1. Open your inventory with I and right-click the certificate. It is consumed when a title is successfully unlocked. A title you already own is not granted again.

2. Red, Blue and Green Certificates each unlock all five titles in their set. They do not choose a random title or equip it automatically. If the entire set is already unlocked, the certificate is not consumed.

3. Single-title certificates, such as the Closed Beta Pioneer Insignia, unlock and immediately activate their title. If another title is active, remove it first; the certificate is kept if activation is refused.

4. Press C and click your character's portrait to open the Title window. Select an available title from the list and click Equipped Title. Before changing an active title, click Remove, then select the new one.

5. Remove clears the overhead effect while keeping the unlocked title in this character's list. A lock icon means the title has not been obtained yet. A permanent title can be selected again without another certificate; it is not automatically unlocked for your other characters.

Overhead titles: invitation certificates

At the Blacksmith, open Invite a Friend while the invitation program is open. The invited account must have been created after 18.08.2026. Link it within its first 72 hours, while its highest level is no greater than 30 and its total playtime is no greater than 180 minutes. The inviting account must have been created before 18.08.2026 and have a character at level 50 or higher with at least 300 minutes of playtime. Different devices are required. After linking, the invited player must reach level 50 and 300 minutes of playtime to unlock the reward. If the program is closed, you cannot obtain new certificates this way.

- Red Certificate (57000): awarded to an eligible invited player and for your first eligible friend. Unlocks Lucky, Metin+, Epic, Legendary and Mystical.

- Blue Certificate (57001): for your second eligible friend. Unlocks Sun Worshiper, Last Man Standing, Invincible, Herald of War and Butcher.

- Green Certificate (57002): for your third eligible friend. Unlocks a second set of Metin+, Epic, Legendary, Mystical and Lucky. All three sets are permanent and grant no combat bonuses.

Overhead titles: Legacy

Open F5 -> Duskveil Legacy and complete your rank's objectives. Right-click the certificate to use it, then select your title through C -> portrait.

- Heir I (57009): rank I reward. Heir III (57010): rank III reward. Heir IV (57011): rank IV reward. All three titles are decorative and permanent.

- You can buy missed certificates in Legacy: 57009 from rank II for 25 000 000 Yang; 57010 from rank III for 50 000 000 Yang; 57011 from rank IV for 100 000 000 Yang.

- At rank V, choose one relic: Legacy of Bosses (57007) or Legacy of Metin Stones (57008). The active title grants +10% damage against the corresponding targets. You cannot use both at once.

Overhead titles: commemorative rewards

- Closed Beta Legend: unlocked by the Closed Beta Pioneer Insignia (57003). A permanent commemorative reward for closed beta testing, without a combat bonus. It has no regular drop, crafting recipe or NPC shop source. Previous owners keep the same title; its name and overhead effect change.

- Patron of Duskveil: unlocked when you use one of the Legion sets (99044-99047). A permanent decorative title. You do not need the separate certificate 99048 for the set's reward.

If your title does not appear

Check which item you obtained: equip an item title, or use a certificate to unlock an overhead title. Close trade, shop and crafting windows; wait 10 seconds after teleporting. Make room for the removed item, click Remove to clear your previous overhead title and try again. Expedition Conqueror and Expedition Cartographer are equipment items; they are not added to the overhead title list.
